Today is Bohag Bihu, which is called the New Year day in Assam. Bihu is the “National Festival of Assam”. People of both the valleys of Assam Brahmaputra and Barak comes alive during this festival.
This Bihu is also called Rongali Bihu. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted “Bihu greetings to everyone,”
