Corona Second Blow Can Be Controlled

Our country is battling a second COVID-19 wave. Corona Second Blow Can only be checked by awareness and consciousness of each and every peoples of the country. State and local governments, as well as individual people, differ in their response to the pandemic. Some states had a high number of coronavirus infections early on, followed by a decline, are having a “second wave” of increased cases. Some follow COVID-19 precautions, such as physical distancing , hand-washing and mask-wearing . Others are not as prescriptive in requiring these measures or in restricting certain high risk activities.

Why the second wave started again if we observe clearly that the human behavior is the major factor. Did any body get any confirmation from any source that pandemic is over? No still state and local governments, as well as individual people, differ in their response to the pandemic. In some places political parties and leaders are organising rally and mass meetings in large fields for assembly elections with huge gathering of people without following the COVID-19 rules and regulations. In Jharkhand Maha Kumbh- a huge gathering of pilgrims, sadhus, saints, bhakts occurred and it was quite absurd to maintain the Covid protocol there. After so many months of canceled activities, economic challenges and stress, people are frustrated and tired of taking coronavirus precautions. Relaxations for the protocol are also an important factor that are driving surges and spikes in COVID-19 cases. Results of rally, road show, Maha Kumbh, are blooming now as a second COVID-19 wave.

The second wave is ravaging our country right now. Each and every peoples fundamental responsibility is to prevent the spread of infection. We should make a commitment if it comes to you, it must be stopped with you not to another person, as we all know that coronavirus is not being carried by mosquitoes, rat or some other animals. We are the vectors or carriers of the disease from one person to another. So we can stop this by our conscious behavior and responsibilities.

We are fortunate enough that with the advent of the modern science and technology we have got the vaccine within two years, made in India vaccines. As the government opens it up for all the age groups above 18 years. So everyone above 18 years must go for vaccination. Some people are scared to vaccinate themselves. Modern medicines are boon in many ways. Most of us are vaccinated in our childhood for Polio, BCG, etc than why not today? Though vaccination is not the last way to stop the spread but its an urgent measure of growing immunity in one’s body along with this we have to wear mask, maintain social distancing norms, washing hands frequently with sanitizer until the pandemic is over. Till then makes it a good habit to protect yourself and others. Last year we have lost several human lives, loss of businesses and livelihood and this year also we are losing, each and every day we are getting the current status of the country in media, so this is the only truth that beware of the infection and behave consciously. The sacrifice of so many of our fellowmen will be laid to waste if we allow the second rampage. Please don’t be panic, follow the SOP given by the state government, vaccinate yourself as there is no substitute for this and no alternate option also. As we all know prevention is better than cure.

As preventive measure we all should keep some most important things in our house, these are :-

  1. Thermometer for measuring body temperature.
  2. Oxymeter for measuring oxygen saturation level of body.
  3. Steamer for taking steam.
  4. Thermoflask for keeping hot water for use at least six times per day.
  5. Paracetamol tablet.
  6. Antacid tablets.
  7. Anti-allergic tablets.
  8. Some items of spices like cloves, pepper, cardamom, cinnamon , tulsi(basil), turmeric etc for making kara, which acts as immunity boosters.
  9. Milk — milk with turmeric powder also boost our immunity.
  10. Last one is regular exercise, which keeps our body fit to fight against virus infection.
