Assam police arrested two-person, Hiren Gogoi and Ranjit Changmai. They were involved in the Tingrai grenade blast case in Digboi. Hiren Gogoi was arrested from his residence at Digboi’s Lakhipather in the Tinsukia district of upper Assam last night by Assam police.
Tinsukia police on Saturday announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for any information about the people involved in the blast which left two people dead and many injured.
Twenty-five-year-old Sanjit Singh and Twenty -two-year -year-old Surajit Talukdar, both residents of Tingrai, were killed in the incident.
On the day of the blast, Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the blast site and also met the family members of the victims and assured justice.
The government has handed over a cheque of 5lakh Rupees as one-time compensation to the families of the Tingrai market blast victims.
