In Sikkim state government has focused on ramping up mass testing for COVID-19.
As, per the data received from the health department during April and May 2021 the absolute RT-PCR tests gathered was 6019, the all-out RAT tests done was 2012 and the complete positive of South is 1714, these numbers are limited on Sunday evening.
The state government also initiated a village-level monitoring team consisting of members from Gram Panchayat or Municipal Council, ASHA, Anganwadi Worker and Volunteers who will coordinate with the Medical Officer of the area to monitor a positive person under home quarantine.
