Eminent Assamese writer Lakhminandan Bora passes away

Eminent Assamese writer Lakhminandan Bora passes away.

Bora was a novelist and short-story writer.

He was 88 years of age.

Bora died due to COVID-19.

In 1988, Bora received the Sahitya Academy Award for his novel, Patal Bhairavi and in 2004 Assam Valley Literary Award. In 2015, the Government of India honored him Padma Shri award.

Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has condoled his demise.
