Manipur CM N. Biren Singh launched the Tokyo Olympics ‘Cheer4India’ campaign in Manipur today too as a way of cheering the athletes representing the country.
“Road to Tokyo 2020”, fan engagement drives, Olympic Symposium and also setting up selfie points where people can click pictures and show their support.
Five athletes from Manipur will be representing our country in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. They are, M.C Mary Kom in Boxing, Sushila Likmabam in Judo, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu in Weightlifting, Pukhrambam Sushila Chanu and Nilakanta Sharma in Hockey India team.
CM N.Biren Singh wishes all five athletes. He also told Manipur government will provide Rs 1.20 crore for Gold, Rs 1 crore for the silver medal, Rs 75 lakh for a Bronze medal and Rs 25 lakh for every participant.
