Monalisa Changkiji is a promising woman writer and journalist from Nagaland. Editor of “Nagaland Page” an English daily published from Dimapur.
She was born in Jorhat District of Assam on 2nd March 1960 and completed her Master’s Degree in Political Science, from Delhi University.
She began her career in journalism in ‘Nagaland Times’ a weekly paper in 1985. She was a member of the Working Group on Women’s Empowerment in the Indian National Planning Commission.
Monalisa is also a poet and her poems and short stories have also been published in ‘The Nagaland Weekly Journal’ from Kohima. She was awarded the Chameli Devi Jain Award for Outstanding Woman Media person in 2009.
She was also awarded 30th FICCI Women Achiever of the Year 2013-2014 for Outstanding Contributions as a Journalist in the year 2014.
