Mizoram Government honoured their hockey star Lalremsiami who participate in Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Thursday.
Sports minister of Mizoram Robert Romawia Royte tweet,” The State’s felicitation program to honor Ms. @Lalremsiami30, Olympian – semi finalist at #Tokyo2020 was a grand success. Sincere thanks to Hon’ble CM, Dy CM, All Ministers, MLAs & Invitees for gracing the function with their presence. Wishing Siami the very best.”
A special function will be held at Vanapa Hall in Aizawl on 26 August to give the hockey star a warm welcome.
Already Mizoram Government appoints Lalremsiami as hockey chief coach of Mizoram.
The Mizoram government had earlier also announced a cash reward of Rs25 lakh for Lalremsiami, out of which, Rs10 lakh was handed over to her mother Lalzarmawii on June 24.
