In Assam Congress breaks ties with Badar Uddin Ajmal’s AIUDF.
Congress spoke person Babita Sarma after a long discussion, the core committee members of the state Congress unanimously decided that AIUDF can no longer remain a partner Mahajut in Assam.
After congress’s core committee decision AIUDF Spoke person and Sonai MLA Karim Uddin Barbhuiya (Saju) tweet, “We thought that the Congress would take everyone along and form a strong opposition front against the BJP. But instead of fighting the BJP, the Congress is moving to fight the AIUDF, which is very unfortunate.”
Before Assembly Election in Assam Congress formed alliance AIUDF, BPF, Jimochayan (Deori) People’s Party (JDPP), Adivasi National Party (ANP), CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML), Anchalik Gana Morcha, and the RJD.
This alliance had won 50 seats in the assembly polls in Assam.
