Assam’s Pollabi Deb Roy wins International book of records for crafting 6ft long Durga idol using recycled products.
Pollabi Deb Roy belongs to the Karimganj district of Assam.
In 2018, she made this idol.
After her achievement, Pollabi told NE India Broadcast, “I made the largest statue of Goddess Durga of size 6 ft by using recycling products.I used plastic packets, spoons, aluminium sheets, cardboard, clay model to make a statue of Goddess Durga and has set a new world record for International Book of Records’.
