Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated The 20th State Level Songrongma Puja on Monday.
Songrongma Puja is an annual event celebrated by the Reang community of the state.
Tribal Welfare Minister Mever Kumar Jamatia, MLA Ranjit Das, MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik, MLA Ram Pada Jamatia also attended this programme.
Songrongma Puja is one of the traditional festivals of the Reang tribes.
The Tripura Government is considering declaring it as a state holiday as demanded by the indigenous communities told CM of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb.
