The 4th edition of Namdapha Butterfly Meet ended with the finding of 212 species of butterflies.
The meet was attended by participants from 8 different states of the country and students from different colleges/universities of the state viz RGU, JNC Pasighat, IGGC Tezu, Arunachal University of Studies Namsai, Namdapha Degree college Miao and NERIST.
This time, more nos of students from Changlang and other districts of AP attended, which is a kind of succes for the meet since its first addition as the main purpose of organizing this event is to spread knowledge conservation through attracting more nos of students towards nature.
Various activities like nature walk, talks on butterflies and conservation were held during the 3 days meet at Deban camp of Namdapha Tiger Reserve.
Many butterfly experts and scholars attended the meet and shared their valuable knowledge to the student participants.
A proper checklist through systematic study in the field was created at the end of the meet.
The event concluded with a cleanliness drive, jointly organised by the Namdapha Butterfly Meet Organising team, NEIFM Pasighat and Namdapha author.
