Sikkim reopens Educational Institutions from October 18

Sikkim reopens educational institutions from 18th October 2021 for all students.

Earlier, the State Government opened schools for students above class 9.

Initially, only 50% of the students should be called on alternate days with parental consent, which shall be further increased based on the monitoring of the situations.

The announcement was made by the Sikkim education department on Tuesday on a notification.

In another notification, the Sikkim government on Monday lifted inter-state travel restrictions in the festive season allowing people to enter the state without producing negative RT-PCR test reports or vaccination certificates at the border, as the COVID-19 situation has improved, according to a state notification.

This notification was issued by the Home Department of Sikkim.
