They both are citizens of India but the difference is that Lt.Rishi Kumar was a responsible young commissioned officer who sacrificed his life for protecting our democracy and Aryan is a drug-addicted spoiled kid of a Bollywood celebrity. These days Aryan Kahn’s news finds its place in the front page of the majority of Indian leading newspapers and is highlighted as breaking news by different TV channels just because this chap is the son of Shah Rukh Khan.
But how many of us know about the death news of Lt . Rishi Kumar? Only those who follow Defence news, they know about this tragic death.
Unfortunately, Aryan Kahn gets privilege over the death news of Soldiers who sacrifice their lives for us. What a pity! The only reason, business is there and hence TRP matters.
Working for a foreign media we are not allowed to write everything everywhere and most importantly, I am nobody to judge the editorial policy of the media. But I am a common Indian first and then a media person. So, I will strongly object to it.
I personally feel Aryan Khan doesn’t deserve any such publicity and without his father’s name, he is nobody. But this ill-fated young gun, Lt.Rishi Kumar had his own Identity. He earned his rank and donned the Uniform of the prestigious Indian Army after rigorous body-breaking training.
In India, Journalists are called the fourth pillar of Democracy and so we all should maintain the minimum ethos of Journalism. This is what I feel and your choice may be different!
