President of India Ram Nath Kovind presents Padma Bhushan to Shri Tarun Gogoi (Posthumous) for Public Affairs on Tuesday.
Her wife Dolly Gogoi received this award on behalf of the President of India.
Lt Tarun Gogoi was the chief minister of Assam from 2001 to 2016. He was the longest serving chief minister of Assam.
He was also a member of Parliament from the Congress party
He died on 23rd November 2020 at the age of 84.

Dr Birubala Rabha asocial activist of Assam, is an anti-witch hunting crusader fighting against the social menace of witch-hunting prevalent in Assam especially among the tribal communities.
