On 8th December, 2021 at about 1400 hrs, under South Bengal Frontier, troops of Border Out Post Charbhadra, 141 Battalion, while on patrol apprehended a Bangladeshi national who had inadvertently crossed the International boundary and entered into Indian territory.
The apprehended Bangladeshi national was identified as Tofzal Hussain, S/o Aslam, village Akmadopara, District Kustia, Bangladesh.
On preliminary questioning, he told that he had come to cut grass in the fields and inadvertently crossed the international boundary.
The apprehended person is handed over to the BGB as a gesture of goodwill and humanity after the flag meeting.
Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier said that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent illegal movement along the Indo-Bangladesh Border. He expressed happiness over the achievements of the troops of the 141 Battalion. In view of the seriousness of the crime, due to mutual cooperation and goodwill, the apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are handed over to the BGB by the Border Security Force.
