On 09th December, 2021, In the context of completion of 50 years of Bangladesh’s liberation and victory over Pakistan and the incomparable contribution of BSF in the victory, the Swaran Jayanti Shaurya Pradarshni Yatra of Eastern Command Headquarters, Kolkata, Border Security Force reached in the area of Sector Headquarters Malda. Sh. Sudhir Hooda, Deputy Inspector General, Sector Headquarters Malda, Dr. Gulshan Singh, CMO, Second Commanding Officer Sh. Jitendra Singh, 70 Battalion, Second Commanding Officer Sh. Vishwa Bandhu, 78 Battalion, Sh. C S Giri, Deputy Commandant, General, Sector Headquarters Malda and other officials, along with the villagers, warmly welcomed the Yatra. He wished the Yatra a successful one.
The people of Nimtita and Farakka area watched the Yatra carefully and showed great interest about it. The villagers got to know about the exhibition closely from the jawans. Along with seeing the exhibition, people also took refreshments with the trooos. After this the Yatra left from Farakka to Sector Headquarter Malda.
