BORDER SECURITY FORCE ALONG WITH POLICE DESTROYED GANJA PLANTS

On 13th December, 2021, under the South Bengal Frontier, troops of Border Out Post Kakmarichar, the 117 Battalion received reliable information that Ganja plants had been grown in a field in the village.

The jawans immediately informed the Sagarpara Police Station. During the day about 1215, jawans along with the Police conducted a search operation in the village, in which Ganja plants were found growing in the field. On investigation it was found that the agricultire field belong to Ruhal Faraji, S/o Asel Faraji, village Kakmarichar, District Murshidabad. The accused managed to escape from the spot. Approximately 22 plants were destroyed at the same time.

The Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier while encouraging the jawans of 117 Battalion stated that our jawans are committed to completely stop smuggling in the area. He requested the border residents to inform the BSF about such cultivators or smugglers so that they can be apprehended.
