BSF RESCUED LIFE OF INJURED BANGLADESHI COW SMUGGLER IN ENCOUNTER BY EVACUATING HIM TO HOSPITAL

South Bengal Frontier, Border Out Post Nagalbhanga, 159 Battalion under Border Security Force, while defeating Bangladeshi smugglers who came to the Indo-Bangladesh border with the nefarious intention of smuggling cows, shot and injured a Bangladeshi smuggler and 10 cattle were freed from the clutches of smugglers.The BSF saved the life of the injured cow smuggler by reaching Malda Medical College Hospital on time and once again presented the example of humanity.

The incident took place on the morning of January 6, 2022, at the Border Out Post Nangalbhanga, when some cattle smugglers were trying to forcibly smuggle cows taking advantage of the mist and bad weather, but alert troops on duty at the border thwarted the plans of the smugglers.The troops opened fire in retaliation and self-defense during an encounter with a group of smugglers carrying armed and sharp weapons, in which one smuggler was injured and the rest of the smugglers escaped taking advantage of the bad weather.

The name of the injured smuggler is Mohd. Yusuf (age 20 years), S/o- Abdul Ahmed, village- Rokhanpur, district- Chapainwabganj (Bangladesh). After administrating the first aid by the BSF, the injured smuggler was evacuated to Medical College Hospital, Malda by ambulance.

BSF hates smuggling not smugglers

The Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier stated that the Border Security Force is always at the fore in guarding the border as well as protecting human values. He added that it is also an important duty of BSF to follow human values ​​along with strict surveillance in security, which BSF troops have been performing well from time to time.
