Arunachal youth abducted by Chinese PLA, Indian govt. agencies up for rescue

The abduction of 17-year-old Miram Taron has seen widespread reactions in the last twenty-four hours. The issue has been picked up by national media and government agencies as well.

Chinese PLA has abducted Sh Miram Taron, 17 years of Zido vill. yesterday 18th Jan 2022 from inside Indian territory, Lungta Jor area (China built 3-4 kms road inside India in 2018) under Siyungla area (Bishing village) of Upper Siang dist, Arunachal Pradesh.”, reads a tweet by Arunachal MP Tapir Gao yesterday evening.

The Arunachal East MP added, “His friend escaped from PLA and reported to the authorities. All the agencies of Govt of India is requested to step up for his early release.”

MLA from Pasighat West, Ninong Ering said in a tweet today, “CCPChina should return the abducted boy from our land. We have nothing to do with China, we want safe return of Mr. Miram Taron at the earliest.”

According to Ministry of Defence, 17 yr old youth Miram Tarom of Zido Arunachal Pradesh was reportedly captured by PLA across the LAC. On receipt of info, IndianArmy imdtly contacted PLA through hotline. Assistance from PLA has been sought to locate & return him as per protocol.
