President BJP, Assam Pradesh, Bhabesh Kalita said the Union Budget 2022 presented by Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman is a fine balance being fiscally prudent and growth supportive, which will accelerate the investment cycle and employment. In a the statement here on Tuesday, Kalita said the fourth the successive budget that Union Finance Minister, Sitharaman has placed on the floor of Parliament, will hasten development by reviving investment and creating job opportunities. “The Budget will boost spending on infrastructure, create jobs and take Asia’s third-largest
economy to a healthy 8.5 per cent growth in the 2022- 2023 fiscal,” he quipped. Kalita said the budget will help to spur demand, create jobs and tackle inflation as the the country is facing the ongoing third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Party President also said the Budget will propel growth and development in Assam and the entire North East part of the country with allocation of special package of Rs.1,500 crore for the region alone. “The allocation will help the sustainable development of all the states of the North East,” he added. Kalita further said the Rs.1 lakh crore allocated for grant of interest-free loans to states to be used for Gati Shakti and other capex by States will accelerate the pace of development in the states and boost the economy as a whole.
