“World Cancer Day” is celebrated worldwide on 4th February every year. On the occasion this year, the Oncology centre of Command Hospital Kolkata organised multiple events including awareness lecture on breast cancer in women , educational role play by nursing cadets, poster exhibition, and prize distribution for childrens’ drawing competition. The PRERNA officials felicitated the Cancer survivors and veteran oncologists. The programme was attended by Maj Gen Ajith Nilakantan, commandant of the hospital and other officials and members of PRERNA. Large number of Families of the Indian Armed Forces benefited from the event. The event was preceded by Breast Cancer Screening week in which eligible ladies were screened for breast cancer.
