In an attempt to make revenue administration more accessible and closer to the citizens, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metropolitan District Shri Pallav Gopal Jha has initiated a special initiative wherein grievances, petitions and complaints regarding land and revenue related matters shall be dealt with and addressed directly by the Deputy Commissioner in presence of concerned Circle officers and other officials. The Deputy Commissioner’s Special Lok Adalat shall officially commence on Friday, the 11th of February, 2022 at the Conference Hall of the DC’s Office. Matters pertaining to Guwahati, Chandrapur and Sonapur shall be taken up on the day.
Thereafter, the Special Lok Adalat shall take place every 2nd and 4th Saturday and information regarding the same shall be disseminated among the citizens.
It is planned to introduce virtual sessions as well in the coming days for citizens who stay out of the city or who are unable to physically attend the sessions physically.
