RPF of NFR rescued 07 persons including minors during last three days Rescued 40 individuals during last month

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of N. F. Railway successfully rescued 07 persons including minors during routine checking at different trains and railway stations over N. F. Railway during 7th to 9th February, 2022. The Railway Protection Force rescued a total of 40 individuals during the month of January, 2022. The rescued persons were later, handed over to their respective parents/guardians, Childline/NGO and GRP for their safe custody and further course of action.

In an incident on 09.02.2022, CIB (Crime Intelligence Branch) team of RPF, Guwahati conducted checking at Guwahati railway station and rescued two runaway minor boys aged about 15 years and 14 years. Later, the rescued boys were handed over to Railway Childline, Guwahati for safe custody and further course of action.

On 08.02.2022, RPF team of Kamakhya post, during routine checking at Kamakhya railway station, rescued one runaway minor girl and a boy aged about 17 years and 28 years respectively. Later, the rescued boy and girl were handed over to IC/GRP/Kamakhya in presence of their parents for further course of action. In another incident on that day, a team of RPF staff of Katihar (East) post, conducted checking at Katihar railway station and rescued one runaway minor girl aged about 15 years. Later, the rescued girl was handed over to Railway Childline, Katihar for safe custody and further course of action. Again, on 08.02.2022, RPF personnel of Guwahati, while conducting a routine checking at Guwahati railway station, rescued one runaway minor boy aged about 7 years. Later, the boy was handed over to Railway Childline, Guwahati for safe custody and further course of action.

In another incident on 07.02.2022, RPF of Hasimara, during routine checking in train No. 07542 UP (Dhubri – Siliguri Intercity special) rescued a runaway minor girl aged about 15 years at Hasimara railway station. Later, the rescued girl was handed over to Railway Child Line, Alipurduar Junction for safe custody and further course of action.
