BSF APPREHENDED A BANGLADESHI NATIONAL INCLUDING INDIAN TOUT

On March 20, 2022, at around 0700 hrs, the troops of 112 Battalion Border Out Post Tarali under South Bengal Frontier apprehended a Bangladeshi national from their border area illegally crossing the border from India to Bangladesh. On the basis of whose revelations, an Indian broker was also apprehended by running the operation.

The apprehended Bangladeshi person has been identified as 1) Abul Hussain (30), S/o – Arshad Ali, Village-Magiri Chowk, Police Station- Debhata, District- Satkhira, Bangladesh. At the same time, the identity of the Indian broker has been identified as Azad Gain (30), S/o– Javed Ali Gain, Village – Tarali, PS– Swaroopnagar, North 24 Parganas.

During preliminary interrogation, Abul Hossain revealed that he is a Bangladeshi national and had come to India by illegally crossing the IB in 2018 and after coming to India. After coming to India, he was working in a textile company in Erode, Tamil Nadu (Village Panikamolayam, Thana Perunderui, District Erode, Tamil Nadu). The man revealed that today he was crossing the IB with the help of an Indian tout to go to Bangladesh to meet his family, but was apprehended by the Border Security Force troops.

During initial interrogation, Azad Gain revealed that he is an Indian citizen and works as a tout. He revealed that he also does smuggling work. The person revealed that a Bangladeshi broker named Abul Hussain approached him and asked him to cross the IB. The man took the Bangladeshi man from Balti Bus Stand, Nityananda, and was getting him to cross the IB from the area of ​​Tarali, for which he had taken ₹5000. The broker revealed that as the Bangladeshi man was crossing the International Boundary, he was apprehended by the Border Security Force and that Bangladeshi man revealed his (broker) identity to the Border Security Force. Due to which he was apprehended.

Both the apprehended micreants have been handed over to Swaroop Nagar Police Station for further legal action.

Shri Chandrashekhar, Officiating Commanding Officer, 112 Battalion informed that the Border Security Force is taking stringent steps to stop illegal movement across the Indo-Bangladesh border. Due to which the people involved in such crimes are facing a lot of difficulties and some of them are getting caught, who are being punished according to the law.
