The role of Chief Minister of Assam in the Rajya Sabha elections is very unfortunate : Apurba Kumar Bhattacharya

The Assam Pradesh Congress Commitee General Secretary Apurba Kumar Bhattacharya on Monday said with media persons the role of Chief Minister of Assam in the Rajya Sabha elections is very unfortunate. Why did the Chief Minister who claims to be all powerful has to go to the house of a Congress MLA ? No Chief Minister had gone to such a shameful level before. There has been mokery of the spirit of Democracy under this power drunk Chief Minister.

No matter how much the ruling BJP party indulges in cheap divisive tactics and unethical temptations, the anti-BJP vote is not going to be divided and opposition parties united candidate will win surely.

The statement made by the State Legislative Assembly Speaker on the Rajya Sabha elections is very shameful. He seem have forgotten the unbiased position entrusted by the Constitution upon the Speaker. Everyone has seen if the Speaker of Legislative Assembly has acted ethically or encouraging unethical practice of “Horse Trading” in favour of the ruling party.
