BSF inaugurates computer lab and RO plant for bright future of children

On 23 March 2022, a Civic Action  Programme was organized by 82 Battalion BSF at BOP Sikra. Sh A K Arya, DIG Sector Krishnanagar was the Chief Guest of this programme. Chief Guest inaugurated a RO plant of capacity 1000 LPH and an air-conditioned Computer Lab in presence of Sh Sanjay Prasad Singh, Commandant, 82 Battalion BSF. Smt Sabina Yasmin Mondal, Sabhapati,  Panchayat Samiti Chapra alongwith other distinguished villagers and children were present during this occasion. RO plant installed by BSF is sufficient enough to address the clean drinking water problem of residents of village Sikra, Hatkhola and Mahakhola. The water dispensing facility is extended upto IBBR for smooth collection of needy persons.

An air-conditioned computer lab having four computers along with printer and other accessories is also inaugurated by the Chief Guest at Border Out Post Sikra, 82 Battalion. This computer lab will cater for the lack of computer learning center for school going children of nearby villages. 82 Battalion, BSF has also provided a computer teacher for children.

The villagers were very happy with both the facilities created by BSF for them. They informed that they don’t have reach to potable water and their children are also deprived of computer education since there is no such facility available in their border villages. They all thanked Commandant 82 BN BSF for his initiative.

Sh A K Arya, DIG in his address to villagers stated praiseworthy words for the work being done by Commandant 82 BN BSF for education and upliftment of social status of border population. He added that the drive to provide clean drinking water and computer education to local villagers initiated by Commandant will certainly  prove a milestone in near future. He also heard the problems of villagers and addressed their grievances then and there . Shri Sanjay Prasad Singh,  Commandant 82 Battalion BSF expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest  for visiting and sparing his precious time to grace the occasion.
