On 23rd March 2022 at 1108 hrs, a major fire broke out at the POL dump, Birudiya, Panagarh. With the place of incident being close to the perimeter wall of Air Force Station.Arjan Singh, the Station fire section and all concerned Station authorities were activated.The message was also communicated to civil fire Officer who proactively assessed the situation and effectively initiated action and got the fire under control from the perimeter of the Station.
Immediate response from IAF authorities in the form of two fire tenders along with effective crowd control proved instrumental in containing the fire and preventing damage to near by life and property.
