On 26 March, 2022, South Bengal Frontier BSF organized a Joint Retreat Ceremony with Border Guard Bangladesh on the occasion of Bangladesh Independence Day at ICP Petrapole and exchange of sweets and greetings.
The Border Guarding Forces of both the countries have cordial relations. The exchange of sweets between the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries comes as goodwill and shows true cooperation. It also helps in making cordial relations amicable and strong.
It has been a long-standing tradition between the two Security Forces to establish a relationship of cordiality by exchanging sweets on the two countries’ own festivals and on national festivals like Independence Day and Republic Day.
The presence of high officials of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries at ICP Petrapole during the Joint Retreat Ceremony as well as the presence of a large number of citizens of both the countries was making the retreat ceremony attractive.
