BSF made arrangements for last Glimpse
BSF is carrying out their duty keeping in mind the emotional and social values of the border people along with ensuring the sensitivity and security of the International Boundary. It is universal truth that the religion of humanity is the biggest religion. In this sequence, the South Bengal Frontier of BSF, deployed in the security of the India-Bangladesh International Border in Bengal, has once again set an example of humanity. By making necessary arrangement for the last glimpse to the daughters living in Bangladesh after the death of their mother living in India, not only they fulfilled the religion of humanity but have once again proved their motto ‘Jeevan Paryant Kartavye’.

Officials stated that this incident is from the border area of ​​Nadia district when such a sensitive incident came to light on April 03, 2022. Sukur Mandal, a resident of the border village Matiyari, told the Company Commander of the Border Out Post Banpur, 54 Battalion posted here that his mother (Rohton Bibi) had passed away. Her two sisters live across the border in Bangladesh. He requested the BSF that if his sisters get chance of last glimpse of their mother, they would feel very happy and obliged. After this, the Company Commander immediately contacted his counterpart Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in this regard without any delay keeping in mind the humanitarian and emotional aspect. Following the request of the BSF, the BGB also stepped forward considering the humanitarian approach. Therefore, the Border Security Forces of both countries, keeping humanity paramount in view of mutual cooperation, arranged for both the daughters living in Bangladesh to have the last glimpse of their mother on the zero line near the International Boundary. In this way the last glimpse of the mother of both the daughters became possible.

At the same time, when both the daughters had their last glimpse of their mother, the atmosphere there became very inconsolable and emotional. At the same time, after the last glimpse, both the daughters and the son expressed their heartfelt gratitude for this initiative of the Border Security Force and said that due to the humanity of you people, we have got the last glimpse of our mother. During this emotional occasion daughters said that if they would have not been able to have the last glimpse of their mother today, they would have reeled remorse through out their life.

South Bengal Frontier Public Relations Officer and DIG Surjeet Singh Guleria stated that BSF troops are deployed on the border day and night without blinking their eyes and take care of the security of the border as well as the religious and social values ​​of the border residents.
