BSF seized a large consignment of Ganja on the India-Bangladesh Border

Border Security Force, under the South Bengal Frontier, seized 84 kg of ganja while thwarting the plans of smugglers in the Border area of ​​North 24 Parganas district.

On 08 April, 2022 troops of Border Out Post Malida, 107 Battalion, seized 84 kg of ganja by conducting a special operation on the basis of strong Input which the smugglers were about to send to Bangladesh. However, the smugglers fled from the spot, taking advantage of the dense darkness, leaving the consignment of ganja in the banana plantation.

The recovered items were handed over to the Police Station Baghdah for further legal action.

Sunil Kumar, Commanding Officer 107 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to stop smuggling along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Consequently people involved in smuggling are facing a lot of difficulties. The officer stated in strong words that the Border Security Force will not allow smuggling under any circumstances.
