BANGLADESHI YOUTH ARRESTED ON THE BORDER, HANDED OVER TO THE BORDER GUARD BANGLADESH IN THE FORM OF HUMANITY AND GOODWILL

On 12 April, 2022 at 0335 hrs, the vigilant troops of Border out Post Jeetpur of 68 Battalion BSF took 02 youths into custody while infiltrating whose identity is Mohammad Habibur Rahman, age 24 years, S/o Shaikh Inamul Haque, village- City College Pada, Jessore, Bangladesh and Suman Das, age 24 years, S/o Khokon Das, village Sukpukuria, District North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.

On enquiry, Mohd Habibur Rahman revealed that he and Suman Das used to work in Rajpriya restaurant in Jessore. He was coming with him to visit India. For crossing the border, he has given 10000 BD Taka to Monu, the broker of Benapole. Whereas Suman Das revealed that he had gone to Bangladesh three months ago to sell his grandfather’s land and started workingin a restaurant in Jessore with Mohammad Habibur Rahman. Today he was returning back to India and he gave 20,000 BD Taka to Monu to cross the IB.

The apprehended Bangladeshi youth was handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh due to humanity as well as goodwill gesture, while the Indian youth was handed over to Police Station Baghdah.

Yoginder Agrawal, Commanding Officer of 68 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict steps to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border, due to which some people are being caught. Considering the seriousness of the crime and the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, some of them are handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh.
