Kamrup Metropolitan Election District authority has made all necessary arrangement for ensuing Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) Election to be held on 22nd April. The Commissioning of EVMs to be used in election has begun today at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, Guwahati in presence of representatives of candidates and Political Parties. Sri Pallav Gopal Jha, District Election Officer inaugurated the process of commissioning of EVMs. The Assistant Returning Officers also attended the programme. On the other hand Special Election Observer, Expenditure Observer and other Observers also visited the venue and took stock of preparation of the election. After completion of commissioning process, all the EVMs will be kept in Strong Room. There will be Six Strong Rooms for the ensuing GMC Election. It may be mentioned that the election will be held in total 757 nos. of Polling Stations. The counting of vote will be held no 24th April at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre.
