Guwahati Municipal Corporation elections: Campaign continue across Guwahati, BJP ahead of Congress in race!

The poll campaign for the upcoming Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) Elections is on in full swing in the state capital. Political parties have upped their campaign for the respective candidates.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is seemingly ahead in the race, compared to Indian National Congress (INC) or Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Several political leaders of the saffron party have intensified their support for the candidates.

“In view of the upcoming GMC polls, took part in two public meetings for our ally AGP candidate Shri Ashim Saikia in Ward No.59 today in presence of my respected cabinet colleague Shri Keshab Mahanta & other dignitaries. Highly confident we will win the polls by huge margins.”, reads a tweet by Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika today evening.

He adds, “On the eve of GMC polls, I participated in two election meets today on behalf of BJP candidate Smt. Lipika Patowary Kalita of Ward 53, and urged the local people to ensure the candidate’s victory in the interest of ensuring the all-round development of Guwahati.”

“Took part in two election meetings for the GMC polls in Ward No. 8 & 36 along with Minister Shri Keshab Mahanta dangoria & party karyakartas. Under the leadership of Hon’ble CM Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma dangoria, we are committed to make Guwahati one of the best cities in India.”, reads a tweet by MP Pallab Lochan Das today evening, with attached photos.

“Great enthusiasm at the bike rally in support of GMCElections Mitrajot candidate of No. 1 Ward, Shri Ranjan Patowary at Garigaon, Jalukbari.”, reads a tweet by Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) President Atul Bora today evening.

He adds, “Interacting with the locals we urged them to vote for Mitrajot to realise the vision of establishing a beautiful Guwahati city.” He further adds, “I thank Chabua MLA Shri Punakan Baruah, Shri Bishnu Das, Shri Dilip Patgiri, Shri Akram Hussain, Shri Nurul Sultan, Shri Sunil Deka, Shri Jitu Borgohain, candidate Shri Ranjan Patowary & Mitrajot karmakartas for their presence and support during the bike rally.”
