Bangladeshi youth crossed the International Boundary to watch IPL in Mumbai, handed over the BGB as a gesture of humanity and goodwill

On 15th April, 2022, vigilant troops of the Border Out Post Ramghat, 68 Battalion detained a person for illegally entering the Indian territory. The youth was identified as Md Ibrahim, 31 years, father’s name as Md Abdul Barrack, a resident of Purva Chandpur in Narayanganj district of Bangladesh. During interrogation it was revealed that he is a big lover of cricket, he was going to Mumbai to watch IPL (cricket) matches. Further he revealed that he gave 5000/BD Taka to a broker named Anisul for crossing the International Boundary.

The apprehended Bangladeshi youth was handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh due to humanity and goodwill.

Yoginder Agrawal, Commanding Officer of 68 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border, due to which some people are being caught. Considering the seriousness of the crime of the apprehended people and due to mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, some of them are handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh.
