On 21 April, 2022, at about 2225 hrs, the vigilant troops of Border Out Post Jeetpur, 68 Battalion thwarting the smuggling attempt, seized 250 packets of injection Humung-75, whose market value is Rs 3.46 lakh. However, the smugglers fled from the spot after seeing the BSF troops.
In another incident, the troops of Border Out Post Haldarpada, 54 Battalion seized 396 bottles of Phensedyl on April 21, 2022 at about 1845 hrs on the basis of specific input. The price of seized phensedyl bottles is Rs. 74000. Whom the smugglers were trying to take to Bangladesh.
The seized items had been handed over to the concerned Police Station/Customs for further legal action.
Statement issued by the BSF, it was stated that BSF is taking strict steps to prevent smuggling along the India-Bangladesh border. Due to which people involved in smuggling are facing a lot of difficulties, out of which some smugglers are being apprehended continuously. The officer stated in strong words that the Border Security Force will not allow smuggling under any circumstances.
