Considering the heat wave like conditions in and around Kolkata, CAB has taken a few precautionary measures for the safety and well being of the players.
“The Met offices have predicted a heatwave like condition over Kolkata till April 28. So keeping the safety of the players in mind we have doubled the supply of lime water, Getorade and ice to all the grounds where games are on. We are also providing enough stock of water so that everyone remains hydrated,” said CAB President Avishek Dalmiya.
CAB Hony Secretary Snehashis Ganguly said: “We are concerned about the wellbeing of our players. So we are stocking up all the grounds with enough hydrating stuff and encouraging players to drink plenty of water.”
“I am personally overseeing that all supplies are reaching the grounds. Infact we have also doubled the supply of lemons to the grounds along with mineral supplements for the players,” said Jt Secretary Debabrata Das.
