Border Security Force troops are always ready to help the people living in the border area along with the security of the Indo-Bangladesh border. Giving an example of this, deployed in Malda district BSF’s border outpost Tilasan, 44th Battalion BSF troops took a 65-year-old injured elderly person who was a victim of domestic violence to the hospital.
The incident happened on 25 April at 1735 hrs. 65 years old Meghnath Mahaldar son of Urna Mahaldar village Tilasan was beaten up by his own son Paritosh Mahaldar, who was in a state of intoxication, due to which Meghnath Mahaldar was seriously injured. When the people of the neighborhood saw this, they immediately reached to the BSF for help.
As soon as the commander of the border post Tilasan was informed about this, he immediately took the ambulance of the Force along with the nursing assistant, taking the elderly, the victim of domestic violence, to the nearby RN Roy Rural Government Hospital after administering first aid. Where after the first aid, the doctors told that the condition of the injured is stable and improving.
The family members and villagers of the elderly thanked the BSF for their timely help. In this way, BSF once again proved that along with strict surveillance and security, BSF troops also give importance to human values.
