The flood situation in the Assam turns grim, wrecking havoc on nearly 2lakh people of the riparian state, the ruling party in the State has postponed its State executive meeting initially scheduled to be held on the 25th and 26th of this month in Duliajan, to register the availability of its karyakartas for its voluntary flood relief and rescue exercise.
BJP’s State President Sri Bhabesh Kalita has made an appeal to all party Mandal karyakartas across the State to work in sync with the government and district administration, towards extending a helping hand for the flood-affected. Meanwhile, BJP karyakartas across the state have plunged into action for flood relief and rescue operations setting up relief camps, medical camps, distribution of food and drinking water and helping with the rescue of domestic livestock and poultry .
In a press brief released from the party’s Vajpayee Bhawan, the State leadership of the Saffron party has expressed solidarity with the flood-affected, while assuring that party volunteers at booth levels are on active discourse in tune with its spirit of “Seva hi Sangathan” and will deliver on its agenda to aid and assist the flood victims.
