On 27 May, 2022, PST/PET Exam for Direct Recruitment of Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Assam Rifles through SSC- 2021 held at Sector Headquarters Berhampur, Roshanbagh Campus under South Bengal Frontier BSF. One of the candidates was apprehended for cheating the recruitment board during the documentation and biometric test.
The case pertains to Staff Selection Commission Constable Direct Recruitment-2021 being conducted at Roshanbagh Campus, Berhampur, Regional Headquarters of Murshidabad District (West Bengal), in which one candidate has been identified as Sherulla Biswash (Roll No. – 4410080583), Village – Karaiya, Post – Karaiya Police Station – Sagardighat, District – Murshidabad. The Recruitment Board Roshanbagh Campus informed that the candidate’s face and fingerprints do not match with the previous data, the data which was entered by the Staff Selection Commission during the written examination.
The candidate has been handed over to Police Station Murshidabad for further legal proceedings after lodging an FIR against the candidate .

Atul Fulzele, Inspector General, South Bengal Frontier Headquarters stated that there will be no rigging in the selection process, for this we have a dedicated team as well as a solid system, which is useful in detecting such rigged cases. He has further stated that the touts are misleading the participants by looting money in the name of recruitment. The officer has requested the people around that if this type of fraud comes to the notice of any person, then they can directly contact and inform the Recruitment Board and Seema Saathi Helpline Number 14419 of South Bengal Frontier Headquarters. The confidentiality of the informer will be maintained in this regard.
