Indian Army maintains a Veterans Outreach Programme with an aim to connect, create awareness of activities, policies and welfare schemes for Veterans & Veer Naris through the Directorate of Indian Army Veterans (DIAV) at Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). To aid the veterans with disabilities, Hero Moto Corp Ltd agreed to provide retrofitted modified scooters to beneficiaries of specified welfare schemes under the flagship of DIAV. Carrying forward the noble initiative by Indian Army, Station Commander Hattigor Military Station presented a specially designed scooter to a veteran at Mangoldai.
The scooter will enable the veteran in travelling thereby leading a self-reliant and independent way of life. Indian Army continues to serve its veterans & provide them with social & financial assistance for their glorious contribution and services towards the nation. These initiatives have proved to be of immense value in empowering the lives of all the veterans.
