Mithali announced her retirement from all forms of International cricket

Indian women team captain Mithali Raj on Wednesday announced that she will retires from all forms of international cricket.

On a tweet Mithali informed it, ” Thank you for all your love & support over the years! I look forward to my 2nd innings with your blessing and support.”


On a statement Mitali Said, “now is the perfect time to call curtains on my playing career as the team is in the capable hands of some very talented young players and the future of Indian Cricket is bright.”


In her glorious career with a record she finishes as the highest run-scorer 7805 runs from 232 ODIs, the most in the formats.

Mithali has received several many awards including the Arjuna award, the Padma Shri and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award .

Mithali has played all three cricket formats for India, Test, One Day and T20. She made her One Day International debut in 1999 against Ireland at Milton Keynes and scored unbeaten 114 runs.
