BSF detained a Bangladeshi youth on Indo-Bangladesh Border, handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh on humanitarian ground and as a goodwill gesture

On June 11, 2022, at 0300 hrs, the vigilant troops of Border Out Post Madhupur, 68 Battalion detained a Bangladeshi youth while crossing the International Boundary illegally. He has been identified as Nizamuddin Bepri (50), Village – Naobanga Dasurchar, PO – Dakhinchar, PS – Shoritpur, Bangladesh.

During questioning, he revealed that he wanted to work as a painter in India and therefore crossed the International Boundary. He was detained by BSF troops while crossing the IB.

The detained youth has been handed over by BSF to Border Guard Bangladesh on humanitarian ground and as a goodwill gesture.

Sh Yogendra, Commanding Officer of the 68 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh Border, due to which some people are being caught. Due to the mutual cooperation and goodwill of the Border Guarding Forces of both the countries, innocent civilians are being handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh
