We have had very good practice sessions for last two days, very purposeful. We are ready for tomorrow’s match.
The last time we took a risk, it was a very tough call to play only one spinner and not play an off-spinner against five left-handers. It worked well for us, Sayan Sekhar did well with the ball, took wickets. Here I think we’ll have to have a more balanced side, maybe one less fast bowler.
I have seen the wicket and it seems alright. When I was looking at the scores of the last match played at this ground between Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh, the match finished in 3 days and most of the wickets were taken by the fast bowlers. So we’ll have to wait till tomorrow morning and see how the wicket is. But generally thinking that’s the balance- 2 spinners and 3 pacers.
I think Manoj will be alright for tomorrow’s match. Hopefully he’ll play tomorrow.
