BSF apprehended 10 Bangladeshi nationals along Indo-Bangladesh Border, handed over to BGB as a gesture of humanity and goodwill

On 12/13 June, 2022, under South Bengal Frontier, 08 & 68 Battalion of Sector Krishnanagar apprehended 10 Bangladeshi nationals while illegally crossing the International Boundary in their respective areas whose identity is 1. Hridoy Boroi (18), District – Barisal (Bangladesh), 2. Babul Chandra Dey, District – Barisal (Bangladesh), 3. Manik Chandra Palranak (43), District – Chittagong (Bangladesh), 4. Janeda Khatoon (65), District – Jessore (Bangladesh), 5. Shiuli Begum (29) ), District – Puthia (Bangladesh), 6. Priya Khatoon (29), District – Magura (Bangladesh), 7. Akhtar Choudhary (60), Narail (Bangladesh), his wife 8. Tahuran Khatoon (50), Distt. – Narel (Bangladesh), 9. Julekha Begum (45), District – Pabna (Bangladesh), 10. Dolana Begum (50), District – Khulna (Bangladesh).

During interrogation, they revealed that they are Bangladeshi citizen, and had come to India for work, in which a woman Shiuli Begum used to dance in a bar in Kolkata, and used to earn 60 thousand rupees a month, A woman Priya Khatoon was sold by her friend for 20 thousand and she used to work as a maid in someone’s house.


Akhtar Choudhary and his wife used to work as laborers in India, and had married their daughter to the same Indian boy, and now they were going back to sell their Bangladesh house.


A person was going to India for his treatment, and while crossing the IB, BSF troops apprehended him.


On the other hand Zulekha Begum and Dolna Begum were coming from Bangladesh to India in search of work. BSF troops apprehended while they were crossing the border.

The apprehended civilians were handed over by BSF to Border Guard Bangladesh as a gesture of goodwill and humanity.

In the statement issued by the South Bengal Frontier stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict steps to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Due to which people are getting caught continuously. Considering the seriousness of the crime of those caught, they are handed back to BGB, Bangladesh.
