Four persons including two minor boys, aged 9 and 6, and two minor girls, aged 8 and 4. died in a landslide at Laitlarem Meghalaya .

Announcing this on social media, DC East Khasi Hills, Shillong informed , ” Update on the incident at Laitlarem, Nongspung Circle under Mawphlang C&RD Block, where a house collapsed this morning leading to the death of four persons, including two minor boys, aged 9 and 6, and two minor girls, aged 8 and 4.”

Meghalaya Govt. will release ex gratia of ₹4 Lakhs to the next of kin of each of the deceased. I extend my deepest condolences. May their souls rest in peace Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed on Twitter.
