Deepanshi Dey A Interns of Projexel Foundation Of Guwahati Started a Awareness Programme On Health And Hygiene Of Girls and Women

An awareness program on Health & Hygiene of (vulnerable / underprivileged) Adolescent girls and women was organized on Saturday at 12.30pm in Projexel Foundation, Kala Pahar, Guwahati. It was a 1-hour program, in which, Sanitary Pads were distributed for free among vulnerable women & girls.

The Program started with a survey, about the ways in which the women and girls maintained their hygiene and take special care of their body during menstruation. Various questions were asked to them, about their opinion about menstruation, taboos related to it and whether they believe in those taboos or not.

The Program continued with a speech on Health & hygiene and some tips to stay healthy during menstruation by Deepanshi Dey— 2nd years student at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, doing a Community Development Project at Projexel Foundation.

The Program ended with Distribution of Sanitary pads among the vulnerable women and girls. The Awareness program was a success and Projexel Foundation aims to do more Awareness Programs in future.
