East Jaintia Hills Police of Meghalaya once again advice Commuters to delay travelling through Badarpur- Guwahati via Meghalaya route.
In a tweeted East Jaintia Hills Police mentioned,” Fresh Bout of Flash Flood on NH06. There has been a fresh bout of flash flood near Sonapur Tunnel.Efforts r on 2 clear d same as quickly as possible. Commuters are once again advised to delay travelling through this route till d same is cleared.”
On Sunday, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma visited the site at NH06 .The CM also interacted with truck drivers and assured that restoration of roads will be completed as early as possible. He also assured all assistance to the drivers stranded in the highway at Lumshnong .
Approximately 1000 plus loaded trucks are stranded along both sides of the road, from Assam and Meghalaya.
