On 21/22 June, 2022, the troops of Border Out Post of Jeetpur and Madhupur, 68 Battalion apprehended 06 Bangladeshi nationals while crossing the International Boundary illegally in their respective areas whose Identity is1. Suman Chandra Bayer (44), District-Dhaka
- Fatima Sahin (45), Distt. – Khulna. 3. Zahidul Sardar (22), his wife 4. Humari Bibi (20) and 18-month-old daughter 5) Harima Khatoon, District – Khulna, 6. Kabir Frajul (47).
During interrogation, it was found that all had come to India at different times for work. Some were working as servants, some were doing labor work. Due to lack of satisfactory income, they were going back to Bangladesh.
03 Bangladeshi nationals were handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh in a gesture of goodwill and humanity while others were handed over to Police Station Baghdah.
Yogendra, Commanding Officer, 68 Battalion informed that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border. Due to which people are getting apprehended continuously. Considering the seriousness of the crime of those caught, they are handed over to the Border Guard, Bangladesh.
