India Border Guarding Force, BSF and Bangladesh Border Guarding Force, BGB have always had cordial and friendly relations. Both BSF and BGB are determined to completely eliminate any kind of smuggling and illegal acts on the border together. Both the forces maintain a cordial relationship with each other in any kind of odd situation. Recently the second match of Maitree volleyball competition being organized between India and Bangladesh was held at BOP Gede, 54 Battalion. The first match of the competition was held at Border Out Post Ghojadanga, 153 Battalion, Sector Kolkata on 28 June, 2022 where Bangladesh team took the lead by winning.

Dr. Atul Fulzele, IPS, IG South Bengal Frontier(BSF) inaugurated the match. A large number of spectators (about 400 people) including Sh. Amrish Kumar Arya, DIG, Sector Krishnanagar (BSF) and other high officials were present during the match.

On behalf of Bangladesh, 24 BGB members in leadership of Mohiuddin Mohammad Jabed, SUP, PSCG, Deputy Director General, Sector Commander, Kustia (Border Guard Bangladesh) were present on the occasion.

The match was inaugurated after a colorful program at around 1630. In a 50 minute match in a cordial atmosphere, BGB team won the game and ended the game.

Finally, Dr. Atul Fulzele, IPS, Inspector General, South Bengal Frontier and Mohiuddin Mohammad Jabed, S.U.P., PSCG, Deputy Director General, Sector Commander, Kustia concluded the ceremony with their speeches. All the spectators applauded the Maitree Volleyball match.
